Tea Time Birthday Bash

I just couldn’t think of a better birthday party idea for my 4 year old…I combined everything she loves into one (friends, sweets, playing pretend and dressing up like all princesses do!  As the girls arrived they were given a ruffle dress, hair bow, belt and necklace to change into.  The party continued with a photo shoot in their new dazzling outfit!  The most fun of course was playing pretend with Abby’s custom tea set and felt play food.  This party truly made me want to be a little girl all over again!

The key to any successful kids party is to keep them busy!!!!  We decided to create stations for the girls to rotate through.

This princess tea party included 4 stations.

Station 1 (Dress Up and become the princess of your dreams)

Girls picked their favorite color dress and were given coordinating hairbows, belts and necklaces.  Dresses were designed by J Elisyn Boutique off of Etsy!   Check out her beautiful selection here:  http://www.etsy.com/shop/JElisynBoutique

Station 2 (Make up)

At the make up station I took a simple end table and covered it with a tulle table skirt designed by The Scarlet Thread!   http://www.etsy.com/shop/Thescarletthread1?ref=l2-shopheader-name

I had a friend hand paint flowers and butterflies on their faces!

Station 3 (Marble Paint Fans)

The girls designed their own paper fans to complete their princess outfit.  We used cardboard boxes and had the girls roll marbles through paint to create a splatter design.  After they dried we folded them into a paper fan for the girls to carry home.

Lastly Station 4 (Let’s play pretend…..)

A tea table fit for a queen was full of play food and a custom tea set for the girls to play with!  Awesome entertainment!!!!  Check out the following links for the play food and tea set:

A party we will never forget!!!

Team Becca & Brian

Most men will not mind going to a wedding shower if a “Tailgate” is the theme!!!!  This Couple’s Shower for Becca & Brian was held right in the heart of Football Season.  For the menu guests were treated to a backyard tailgate with hamburgers, hotdogs, pasta salad & beer!  The men were in Heaven watching College Football on the big screen!!! Tables were decorated with tablecloths & green felt table runners designed to look like football fields.  Team Becca & Team Brian flags were placed in bowl centerpieces with lemons spray painted brown to look like footballs.  Everyone had a blast Tailgating with the Bride & Groom!!!

Tailgate Invite

Guests fell in love with the main attraction THE CAKE (and football donuts of course)!!!  Place the cake on a grill to complete the Tailgate look.  A football cake is the perfect touch with a cake topper that says “Team Becca & Brian!”

The Best Hot Chocolate Bar Ever

We are entering the Holiday Season….it’s the time of year for snow, presents, glitter and of course HOT CHOCOLATE!  Why not kick off the season with a Hot Chocolate Party!  This past weekend we had a Christmas event at my church which included a Cookie Walk and Live Nativity.  We also served Hot Chocolate as a fundraiser, but kicked it up a notch by offering the best fixins’ around!

Hot Chocolate BarCandy Cane Cupcakes make an adorable addition to the Hot Chocolate Bar!

Find a unique glass vase and fill it to the brim with Mini Marshmallows!  They make the perfect topping for Hot Chocolate!!!  This would even be a creative centerpiece for your kitchen table at home during the holidays!

DSC_0095Your guests will go wild over this Hot Chocolate Bar….going back to a plain cup of Hot Chocolate will just seem boring!!!

Hot Chocolate Bar Fixins’ Included:

Mini Marshmallows
Cookies & Cream Hershey Bar Bits
Gingerbread Marshmallows
Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
Large Marshmallows on Candy Cane Sticks
Candy Canes
Pirouette Cookies
Whipped Cream Topping!!!!

Tailgate Baby Shower

There is no better way to celebrate the arrival of a baby in the Fall like a TAILGATE baby shower!  Invitations that resemble game tickets are the perfect kick-off for this type of baby shower!

A perfect way to display the baby shower cake is to place it on top of a Grill!!!!  Make it the centerpiece of the table and guest will go crazy over this original idea!!!!!

To complete the perfect tailgate we filled the room with footballs, balloons, “RED” solo cups and plenty of tailgate food (BBQ Sliders, Wings and Pasta Salad).   The corsage was tied with Football ribbon and centerpieces were made of baby diapers topped with footballs!!!  It just doesn’t get any more adorable than this!!!!

Back to School

September 5, 2012

Who says going BACK TO SCHOOL isn’t an EVENT?????  Why not celebrate the first day of school by surprising your child’s teacher with a delicious CAKE made of school supplies.  Some of the items on my daughter’s class wish list included Kleenex tissues, glue sticks, markers, play doh tools and crayons.  What a creative way to give back to the school your child attends.  It’s as simple as finding round styrofoam from a local craft store and use glue dots to mount each item around the outside.  Decorate with ribbon and craft paper and your cake will look good enough to eat!!!!!  Happy School Year!

Down by the Seashore Wedding Party

August 25, 2012

An August wedding calls for a “beach” themed party!  The newlyweds Kris & Tara celebrated their recent marriage surrounded by family and friends at a party “on the boardwalk” hosted by the mother and father of the groom (Cindy & Mike).  A Beach Party would not be complete without a “Bucket” candy bar.  Guests filled their beach buckets with seashell chocolates, kisses, M&Ms, candy almonds and of course….SALT WATER TAFFY!  Tiny beach buckets make the perfect container for all the goodies on the candy bar.  Tied with ribbon are labels with the newlyweds names and wedding date.  The title “One Sweet Day” adds the perfect touch to the candy bar.  Fish bowls filled with sand and seashells make a quick and easy centerpiece!  Burlap table runners are a simple addition that give the table a rustic twist!

God Given Gifts

“Guard my life and rescue me; let me not be put to shame, for I take refuge in you.”–Psalm 25:20

I have been told many times…….”Jill, why don’t you start your own business?  You really do need to become an event coordinator!”  However; my lifestyle has just not allowed me to take on event planning full time.  Between being a mom and handling a full time job there just hasn’t been a lot of free time to pursue my true joys in life.   Spending lots of time in prayer has opened my eyes to the realization that maybe I can do both…….so I have decided to take on blogging about all the events and parties I have helped others plan.

After years of planning and organizing events for family and friends, it feels so refreshing to  finally  embrace the gifts God has given me and share my ideas with you!!!  I’ve created the Rescue Me Events Blog to help you create a magical–stress free event!  From the theme to the decorations—I’m hoping my ideas will bring it all together for your event!  I’ve got you covered!  I plan to showcase events throughout the year that Rescue Me Events has coordinated!  If you need Rescuing or Deliverance from all the details of your next event….just give me a shout!
